Wellness retreats in France
Venues and wellness retreats in France: discover venues by region, their practices, and setting, to choose a stay that suits you.
Explore selected venues in France. Dates, proposed practices, and stay conditions are to be confirmed for each programme.
Choose your stay in this destination
Taking time for yourself can start near your home. In France, explore the venues by region and compare the programmes: proposed practices, free time, collective life and accommodation comfort. Distinguish a stay you can participate in from a venue for hire for your own group. The Slow charter guides our selection; dates and services remain to be confirmed with the organiser.
What kind of stay are you looking for?
Join an organised retreat
You are looking for dates, a teacher and a programme. Explore the venue pages on this page, then confirm the next sessions with the venue or organiser. Anâkhyashram, for example, presents yoga retreats in an ashram; its presence here does not imply availability.
Staying in a place of practice
Do you want more freedom in your schedule? Check if the venue welcomes individual stays outside of retreats, which sessions are offered, and if they are included in the price. Describe the stay you are looking for to be guided, without assuming that à la carte accommodation is possible everywhere.
Organise your own retreat
You come with your group and your programme? Consult the venues for hire for a retreat. Capacity, practice room, meals and booking for exclusive use are to be confirmed with each host.
How much should you budget?
Compare equivalent packages: duration, shared or single room, meals, teaching, membership, and transport. The price of accommodation alone is not the price of a guided retreat.
An example, and not a national average: Anâkhyashram offers a workshop of 2 days at €270 and a retreat of 5 days at €590, with teaching, accommodation, and food. The annual membership of €20 is added if you are not already a member, bringing the totals to €290 and €610 respectively. Reduced rates exist under certain conditions.

The selection tips presented here are editorial guidelines. Our Slow charter explains the selection process; the characteristics and sources of each venue are listed on its venue page.
Good to know
- Best season: Choose according to the retreat dates, the region and how easy it is to reach the venue; there is no single period suitable for all venues.
- Access: Check the complete journey from your home, including the connection between the train station and the venue. A shuttle or local transport must be confirmed with the host.
Frequently asked questions
How to choose a wellness retreat in France?
Start with the format of the stay, the rhythm of the practices and the free time. Then compare the dates, the size of the group, the accommodation and the journey. A venue page presents a venue; it does not guarantee that a retreat is scheduled for your dates.
How much does a wellness retreat in France cost?
The cost depends on the duration, room, meals and teaching included. Compare the total cost for one person, adding transport, possible memberships and options. The examples above are specific rates for a venue, not a national average.
It’s my first retreat, where do I start?
A short format near you can be a starting point. Ask the organiser if the sessions are suitable for beginners, which ones are optional, and how much free time remains in the day.
Can we rent a venue to organise our own retreat?
Yes, a separate section presents venues for hire. Check the capacity in rooms and practice rooms, catering, equipment, conditions for booking for exclusive use and cancellation. Hire does not necessarily include a teacher or programme.
