Who is it for?
The ashram welcomes all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. Each person remains free to choose their commitment and the intensity of their practice: there is no notion of level. It’s up to you to find your rhythm, between postures, meditation, text study and inner silence.
The programme
The days are organised around two to three guided sessions and leave plenty of room for slow hours. The rhythm combines meditation at dawn, Hatha-Yoga on an empty stomach in the morning, silent time during the hot hours, then Kundalini and Raja-Yoga in the late afternoon, punctuated by chants and a contemplative walk.
Each year, a theme connects practice and study; for 2026: ‘Nature is the manifestation of universal consciousness: Yoga is its revelation’. It is the subject of a booklet of about twenty pages given to each participant, which serves as support for question-and-answer sessions. In the summer, you can also create a yantra (mandala).
Accommodation and meals
You stay in a shared room (two to four people) or in an individual tent. Meals are vegetarian: a hearty breakfast in the morning, dinner prepared together in the evening. The teaching, accommodation, meals, and annual membership are included in the price of the stay.
On site and in the surrounding area
The ashram is nestled in Noyers-sur-Jabron, near Sisteron, in the Jabron valley at the foot of the Lure mountain: a mid-mountain setting suited to quiet reflection.
Features of the venue
The ashram follows the non-dualistic path of Kashmir Shaivism. It is led by Christian Coupé, who has been teaching since the late 1980s and has been training yoga teachers and organising retreats since the early 1990s, long before the internet era.
The venue extends the CEFY Manolaya training centre and is managed by a non-profit association, ‘Anâkhya, Yoga et spiritualité’, under the 1901 law.
